We really try to foster a team attitude in our program.  One of the things that we feel is so important here at Biamonte Stables is working together and supporting one another.  We like to take the time to recognize one another's accomplishments, no matter how big or how small.  To us they are all big and all important.

Achievements

Janet Did her WHOLE lesson off the longe line for the first time!!  Go Janet!!

2006 Show Season

Some of you have decided to show!

October 8th our Hunter team was out and about.  Ali, Cadera, Amanda and Erin all made us proud by turning in some great rides on Whisper and Shanelle!  Everyone had a great time.  The mares were incredibly well behaved, as always, and we had great weather again.

It was a first show for Cadera and Ali.  Cadera did leadline ages 6 to 8, and Ali did ages 5 and under..  Between the two of them there were 3 red ribbons, one green ribbon and two beanie babies.  Great job lead liners!

Amanda and Erin rode in the Beginner Equitation and Pleasure classes. Collectively the7 brought home a second, third, and two fourth places in a very large class with some steep competition.

Great job ladies.  We are very proud of their sportsmanship and team work!!  Your horses turn out was very good...they looked beautiful.

Sept 23rd one of our dressage team members was at it again.  Karly and Saves the Day (Rufio) made their training level test 3 and test 4 depute!!!  When I left the show grounds, the results for T-3 were in with a score of 65% and first place.  We'll have to wait for the T-4 results.  Great Job Karly and Rufi!!!!  And the show management asked where that adorable paint pony was.  Thanks EMMA (www.equinemma.com) for another well run show!!!  It is always fun and a pleasure to attend!!

September Has An Exciting Start!

We started our fall showing season with a Hunter Show.  Again we had perfect riding weather.  Laine and Kate J went to this show with Shanelle and Buddy.  We were very proud of their riding, team work, and sportsmanship!

This was Laine's first show and she rode like we have never seen her ride before.  In her three classes she brought home one 1st place and two 2nd places.  Not to bad for the first time out.  Shanelle was turned out beautifully, as only our dark bay diva would have it.

Kate, normally a dressage rider, decides to give a Hunter show a try just for kicks.  While this was Kate's third show, it was her first time at trying Hunters.  She road beautifully, making it look so easy.  From her three classes she brought home a 4th, 5th and 6th place.  Great job switching disciplines Kate!  Buddy looked very handsome but was his usual modest self.

Great job ladies!!!  Great riding, teamwork and sportsmanship!  You made us very proud!!!

August 22nd, at BCHP, Karly and Rufio gave it another try.  Another night of perfect riding weather and this time, no full moon.  Karly had a good evening!  Rufio was much more relaxed and the pair turned in some very nice rides.  T-1 63.1824% for 4th place.  T-2 65.0% for 3rd place.  Way to go!

Three of our young riders (Kate 13, Karly, 16, and Jess, 18) showed under a full moon Aug 8th, 2006.   What a beautiful night to ride.  Picture perfect weather, and a huge gorgeous full moon over head.  And it was a prime example of why we are always telling you we want drivers, not passengers up there!  Each of you impressed us and we were very proud of your handling of the situations that arose!  You made your trainers proud!

It was Jess' first show!  Jess and Buddy got great scores through some trying times as Buddy's nerves gave him a tummy ache while at the show.  No worries, we were prepared and he's fine.  The pair got a 6th place in training test 1 with a score of 59.454 and scored a 62.692 in training test 2 to finish just out of the ribbons.  Great job Jess!  Now she is off to college.  Good luck doing Inter Collegiate!

Kate also had a challenging evening, but a great learning experience.  Secret was a four year old at his second show, on a full moon.  He became the where pony...where is he going?!  Kate did an awesome job maintaining her composure and completing her tests despite the fact that her pony was afraid to be alone in the show ring and kept trying to go back to the herd in the schooling ring.  She still managed scores in the 50's but was eliminated from one test as the where pony stepped out of the ring.  Way to ride Kate!!

Mean while, Karly and Saves the Day (Rufio) had their own full moon thing going on in the upper ring.  Rufio had some full moon nerves going on and was a bit sassy around the perimeter of the ring.  Karly stayed together and rode like a pro turning in two beautiful rides with a 61.818 in training test 1 for a 4th place.  In training test 2 the earned an impressive 69.692 winning the class.  Great Job Karly!

All in all the trainers aged a bit, the riders learned a lot and the spectators had a good show.  Who says watching dressage is like watching grass grow!

Congrats Kate on your first show!  Kate and Secret went to their first show together July, 2006.  They got great scores and a first and second place.  Secret was such a good boy.  Remember, he's only four years old and had never been off the farm.  Kate is 13 and rode like a veteran.
